Everyone in my family loves traveling. Being born into a family of globetrotters meant I was lucky enough to accompany them on overseas trips from a young age. Now I’m living in Japan, but they’re also all living in or traveling to different places around the world. This makes keeping track of all the different time zones a nightmare, and that family conference call is impossible!
My parents are currently on their fourth (or maybe fifth? sixth?) honeymoon in Spain. Retirement hasn’t slowed them down yet. In face, it may have had the opposite effect. Here they are enjoying yet another old city.
My eldest brother has taken a trip to Thailand as an early 30th birthday celebration. He’s been here twice before so he’s already an expert on the best ways to relax and enjoy the beaches and nightlife.
My other brothers are twins. The younger of the two is currently living in Colombia alongside his girlfriend. He occupies his days as both a student of Spanish and a teacher of English, much like myself. Being in Colombia means that he is also nearby some of the best natural scenery in the world. He recently climbed a volcano, for example!
The elder twin has the current duty of holding down the family home back in Melbourne. He’s not alone, though. One of his most important tasks is taking care of our four chickens, whom keep the household lively. He also works at one of the best natural hot springs in the world!
Is your family spread out across the globe too? Tell me about it in the comments below!
